Indians join the California Collegiate League for 2026

The Santa Maria Indians will compete as an affiliate member of the California Collegiate League in 2026, joining a circuit that includes the San Luis Obispo Blues and the Santa Barbara Foresters. The schedule mixes CCL opponents with Southern California Collegiate League clubs, and most games are on the road.

Home games at Elks Field are Friday nights at 5:00 PM and Saturday mornings at 9:00 AM. Admission is $5 for adults and free for kids. The home opener features free hot dogs and a chance for kids to meet the players and run the bases after the game.

"These guys are playing against some of the best players in the state," general manager Jimmy Melena said. "Every year this team is getting better. We just want to help these guys reach the next level."

The 2026 roster draws mostly from Central Coast colleges and high schools, including Allan Hancock College, Cuesta College, Pioneer Valley, Righetti, Lompoc, and Valley Christian Academy, along with a handful of players from Arizona and the Central Valley.
